Anna J. Hepner, 104, a resident of Avonlea Cottage, Milan, formerly of Davenport, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at the Cottage.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Inurnment will be in the Blue Grass Cemetery. Visitation is 11:00 am until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Avonlea Cottage.

Anna Julia Strieck was born July 1, 1910 in Pittsburg, Penn., a daughter of Joseph and Josephine Troaruzk Strieck. She married Jess C. Hepner on Oct. 5, 1929. He died in 1994.

She truck farmed with her late husband in West Davenport for many years.

Anna enjoyed her flowers and gardening.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Betty Hepner and William and Maralyn Hepner, all of Davenport; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy and Ron Miller, Aledo and Judy Cook, Elkader, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Patricia Hepner; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Olivia Chapman; and several brothers and sisters.
