Anna J. "Jean" Hartman, 87, of Matherville, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Jean will be 10:30 am, Friday (Jan. 22nd)at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Thursday (Jan. 21st) from 4 to 7 pm at funeral home. Memorials may be made to Matherville Fire Department, Royal Ball Run for Autism or to the Ronald McDonald House.

Jean was born on April 20, 1928 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, the daughter of John Oddson and Nettie "Kate" Wyatt Oddson. She married H.R. "Buck" Hartman on August 15, 1946 in Matherville. He preceded her in death on February 29, 1992.

Jean resided in Matherville for 69 years. In her younger years she was an avid bowler and belonged to the Silvis Ladies Auxiliary No. 1839 of the F.O.E. Jean loved her family and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Rhonda Hutchins, Sherrard and Lori (Wayne) Shafer, Rock Island; grandchildren, Jen (Pat) Hartmann, Jackie (Kevin) Kelly, Eric (Jackie) Hutchins, Jaime (Steve) Bramer, Breanna (Luke) Leander and Molly (Mark) Brown; and 14 great grandchildren.
