Anna M. Talbot, 89, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday April 22,
2015 at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehab.
Funeral services will be 10am Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home,
Milan. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left
to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Anna was born on November 1, 1925 in Rock Island, the daughter of
Julius and Madeline VanAssche. She married Guy Talbot on December 28,
1946 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1986.
She had attended Rock Island Schools and graduated from Rock Island
High School in 1944. Anna was employed at Servus Rubber for 17 years and
later worked at Turnstyle and Venture for 27 years, until her retirement
in 1991.
Mrs. Talbot was a member of Plus 60 group, Friends Circle, and VFW,
both of Moline.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Judy Blackwell, Moline; two
granddaughters, Kelly and Kim Blackwell; four great grandchildren, Tara
Lopez-Blackwell, Bailey Blackwell, David Blackwell, Alyssa
Lopez-Blackwell; great-great granddaughter, Carmen Lopez.
She was preceded in death by her parents and special niece, Bonnie
Jackson.
