Annadeen Wollam -Perkins-Rooney, 84, of Andalusia, formerly of Farmington, Iowa passed Saturday morning, Feb. 7, 2015 at the home of her son, Doug.
Annadeen was born December 4, 1930 in Clark County, Missouri, a daughter of Riley and Mabel (Carnahan) Wollam. She married Billy F. Perkins in November of 1951 in Farmington, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1974. She later married James B. Rooney on October 31, 1994 in Farmington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2012.
Annadeen was a loving and devoted wife and mother who cared for her family. She took over responsibility for operating the family farm after the death of her husband, Billy. Annadeen also worked at the Farmington Insurance Agency, State Central Bank, Farmington and she owned The Bridge floral and gift shop in Farmington. She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, UMC Women, Farmington Cemetery Association and was past president of Chapter O, P.E.O.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Doug Perkins (J.V. McCreight) and Ken (Shawn) Perkins; grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) McClure and Billy Perkins; great grandson, Logan McClure; sisters, Lois Polito and Shirley Janeba, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Deano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a brother, Jerry Wollam; sisters, Ruth Wollam and Helen Andrews; and her special sister in law, Beulah Perkins Mercier. Per Annadeen's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan is assisting the family.
Memorials may be made in care of the Farmington, Iowa United Methodist Church or the Quad - Cities Alzheimer's Association. Annadeen's family would like to give a special thank you to her caregiver, Robyn Jones, for her wonderful care and support through this difficult time.
