Anthony R. Campbell, 54, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.  Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting family with arrangements.

Anthony was born on August 29, 1967 in Moline, IL, the son of Howard Nettles and Samella Flemmings.  He was married to Gwen Robinson.  Anthony worked at Oscar Meyer as a line worker.  He will be remembered for his cooking ability and his amazing BBQ skills.  Anthony also had an ability to make people laugh.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Gwen Robinson; children, Anika Campbell and Anthony Campbell Jr.; 5 step children; 38 grandchildren, including his "poops," Laylah Robinson; siblings, Diane McCaw, Stephanie Campbell, Annette Campbell, Bruce Kelly, Otis Campbell, Gary Campbell, and Mose Campbell; aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Julius Nettles; best friend, Kim McClendon; and multiple nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Blair.
