Antonio “Tony” Pates , 54, of Davenport, IA, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, IL. Memorials can be made in care of the family.

Tony was born June 12, 1972, in Bastrop, LA, the son of Doug Evans and Ruth Ann Williams. He married Shilo Harris on August 15, 1999, in Bettendorf, IA.

Tony was known for his vibrant competitive spirit. He found joy in fishing, the thrill of the casino, as well as in games like pool and darts. A true athlete at heart, he enjoyed golfing and, above all, treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren, who brought endless joy and fulfillment to his life.

Survivors include his wife, Shilo; mother, Ruth Ann; children, Taymion (Zachary La Farrara) Pates, Seath Pates, Syruss Martin, and Taddius Martin; grandchildren, Paloma Martin, Soraya Pates, and Zaymion “Jack-Jack” Pates; siblings, Katerina “Lou” Pates, Ken Pates, and Meisha; and favorite aunt, Rene. He was preceded in death by his father Doug and great-grandmother, Mollie Pates.
