Ardith "Jane" Wildman, 92, formerly of Rock Island, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019.
Private services will be Monday at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Two Rivers United Methodist Church, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.
Jane was born on Nov. 2, 1926 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the youngest of five children born to Sam and Lettie (Nelson) Fatland. She was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Wildman on Apr. 21, 1950 in Oak Park, Ill. Kenneth preceded her in death on June 6, 2003.
Jane graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1944. She retired from the former Franciscan Medical Center, where she worked in the accounting department.
She was a long-time member of Two Rivers United Methodist Church. Jane most enjoyed spending time with her family, which included her children, granddaughters and great-grandsons. She hosted numerous family dinners over the years, which were a special time for all. She also enjoyed time with friends, attending plays, music events and her involvement in a water aerobics class. She loved traveling with her late husband, Ken and going to the casino.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Rita) Wildman, East Moline; daughter, Linda (Peter) Schmitz, Cedarburg, Wis.; granddaughters, Tiffany Goff, Moline, Melissa (Ken) Luckjohn, Sheboygan, Wis., Kimberly (Eric) Davis, Bettendorf, Amanda (Ken) Cihlar, West Bend, Wis., and Victoria (Chad) Gerber, Minneapolis, Minn.; great-grandsons, Aidan, Eli, and Holden Luckjohn, Collin Goff, Bennett Davis, Dominic and Gavin Cihlar and Chase Gerber; five step-grandchildren; and many step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, LaVerne (Avanell); sisters, Marguerite, Lottie and Edith; and great-grandson, Joshua Goff.
Jane will be greatly missed.
