Argolda Mae Shelton, 60, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, September 7,  2016 at UPH-Trinity, Bettendorf.

Funeral service will be at  11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Argolda was born on July 18, 1956 in Rock Island, the daughter of James Albert and Elizabeth (Robinson) Shelton.  She worked as a beautician and a CNA.

Argolda is survived by her significant other, Thomas Adams; daughters, Shantell Shelton (Chandris Robinson), Shanon Shelton (Maurice Anderson), Shayla Shelton (Marreion Oliver), and Sade Adams; mother, Elizabeth Shelton; sisters, Yvonne (Owen) Sloan, Betty Lou and Regina Shelton; brothers, James and Brian Shelton; grandchildren, Tyona, Herman, Anthony, Ira, Shyonna, Destiny, Dinesty, Davon, and Jayden, Jaya; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nicole Hughes.   She was preceded in death by her father, James Shelton.
