Arlene Seager, 89, of Milan, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Arlene was born September 30, 1925 in Delaware County, IA, the daughter of Charles and Louise (Eggiman) Orr. She married her lifetime love, Richard Seager on January 7, 1950 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2009. Arlene worked as a housekeeper at Blackhawk Federal Credit Union. She was a past president and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxillary. Arlene enjoyed crafts, camping, teddy bears and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Arlene is survived by her children, Karleeta "Kay" (Thomas) Purvis, Genoa, IL, Richard (Sherry) Seager, Middletown, IA, Gloria Rohm and partner Cindy Mueller, Reynolds, and Steve Seager, Milan; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and brother, Lloyd Orr, Mt Pleasant, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Seager; parents; brothers, Paul and Charles Orr; sisters, Mary Thomas, Karlena Orr, Dorothy Burns, and LaVonda Miller; and grandson, Thomas Eric Purvis.
