Arlene A. Wahlheim, 83, of Rock Island, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. Private services for Mrs. Wahlheim will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Arlene was born on February 26, 1940, in Gordon, Nebraska, a daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Nelson) Stanel. She married Michael Wahlheim on June 1, 1957, in Rock Island. Mrs. Wahlheim enjoyed traveling with her husband, fishing, dancing, going to craft shows, shopping and baking.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; a son, Michael "Andy" Wahlheim, Rock Island; a daughter and son in law, Dory and Rodney Retherford, Milan; and a brother, Donald Stanec, Divide, Colorado.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law, Susan Stanec.
