Arneeda Green, 89, of Stone Mountain, GA, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Amicasa Hospice in Decatur, GA.  Funeral services for Arneeda will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Olivet Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Arneeda was born on December 9, 1927 in East St. Louis, Illinois, a daughter of Fredrick and Lennie (Willoughby) Holt.  She worked as a contract specialist for the federal government for over 30 years.  In her earlier years, Arneeda was an avid bowler and singer.  She was passionate about the Lord and working with children while teaching Sunday school.  She loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathryn Green of Stone Mountain, GA; son, Preston Green, East St. Louis; grandchildren, Althea DuBois, Michael Bright, Kimberly Reed, Nathanal Green, Jermaine Ford and Christopher Ford; great granddaughter, Pamela Copeland and a host of great great grandchildren, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pamela Bright and 5 siblings.
