Arthur H. Hofmann, 87, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. A Celebration of Life Gathering will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Milan Christian Church, 709 Hillcrest Road, Milan. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Milan Christian Church in Arthur's memory.

Arthur was born July 17, 1937, in Rock Island, to Charles and Dorothy (Chambers) Hofmann. He graduated from Rock Island High School and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, before being honorably discharged. Arthur married Mary Cramer in 1962. He worked at Asplundh and Tri City Heat Treat before retiring.

Arthur was a member of the former Gloria Dei Presbyterian Church in Rock Island. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping, and attending sporting events. He also loved Pepsi, Root beer, and KFC. Arthur was always there to help when someone was in need. He was a gentleman and always held his wife's hand.

Those left to cherish Arthur's memory include his wife of 63 years, Mary; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Delores "Dee" Hofmann, Ina, IL; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Mary Dawson, Sandra Franks, and Edna "Ann" Princell.
