Audrey L. Bush, 84, of Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Park Vista, East Moline. Services for Mrs. Bush will be 1 pm, Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030-7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Zuma Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

Audrey was born on September 2, 1932 in Galesburg, the daughter of Virgil G. and Wilamine Dailey Ashdown. She married Francis Bush on November 22, 1952 in Zuma Township, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1996. Audrey was a cost accountant for Frank Foundries retiring in 1991.

Audrey was a member of Two Rivers United Methodist Church, Rock Island and the Rio Grande Quilt Guild.  She loved to quilt and made several quilts and wall hangings for family and friends doing all of the quilting on them by hand.  She also enjoyed camping with family, travelling and working with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and most especially going anywhere with Francis.  Their most enjoyed trip was to Alaska in a small truck camper for 2 months.  After Francis' death, she became a winter Texan staying for 6 months a year at Texas Trails in Pharr, Texas.  While there, she taught many quilting classes and 2 of her students became grand champions at quilt shows.

Survivors include her children, F. David (Margo) Bush, Hampton, Melinda Mourning, Rock Island, and Donald (Diana) Bush, Rock Island; grandchildren, David Bush, Michael Mourning, Bryan Bush, Amanda Berger, and Emily Jones; great grandchildren, Carter, Emmah, Alex, Kyle, Sydney and Jaxson; and a sister, Janet Bullman, Galesburg.
