Audrey E. McKeown, 92, of Milan, passed away Friday April 29, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 10:00am on Tuesday at Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan.  Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church.

Audrey was born on June 8, 1923 in Fairfield, Nebraska, the daughter of Elijah and Leah (Day) Ransom. She has been employed with the Hastings Nebraska Telephone Company for 41 years, retiring in 1984.

Audrey was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island, Memorial Christian Church, Hastings, NE and the Nebraska Telephone Pioneers. She loved to walk, visit with family and friends, go out to eat, family gatherings and was a avid fan of the University of Nebraska Corn Huskers.

Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Tooley, Milan; brothers, Emerson Ransom, NE, Thomas Ransom, MO.; several nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Orville Ransom and sister, Florence Ransom.
