Obituary

Aurino (Reno) Cutrel McKinney, born on September 22, 1973, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, to Yvonne McKinney, passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 52.

Reno graduated from Rock Island High School in 1991 and thereafter pursued computer drafting at Hamilton Technical College.

Reno was known for his warm heart, quick wit, and larger-than-life personality. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, making everyone feel welcome, whether they were long-time acquaintances or new friends. His sense of humor and outgoing nature brought people together, and he left a lasting impression wherever he went. Reno had a unique way of making people feel like family, giving everyone a nickname and a sense of belonging.

Above all, Reno loved his family deeply. He was a devoted father, proud grandfather, loving son, brother, and friend. Spending time with his loved ones brought him immense joy.

Reno is survived by his mother, Yvonne McKinney; his children, Tayler Anderson, Cairece Allen, Tyia Schauland, Andre McKinney, Anden McKinney, and Alec McKinney; his grandchildren; his siblings, Reginald McKinney, Latricia Saunders, Tramon McKinney, and Sharmane McKinney; and numerous family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

His memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2767 9th Street, Rock Island, Illinois.

Though Reno will be deeply missed, his laughter, kindness, and love for family will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be carried forward by the family and friends he loved so dearly.
