B. Jean Harper, 92, of Taylor Ridge, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Services for Jean will be 10 am, Saturday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 7 pm, Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial will be in the Beulah Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan.

Jean was born on August 21, 1922 in Aledo, a daughter of Hiram and Vera (Smith) Hawks. She married John Harper on June 14, 1942 in Milan. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2014. Jean was a homemaker. She was a active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan, for over 70 years. Jean enjoyed knitting and was an avid softball fan.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Mick (Chris) Harper, Taylor Ridge, Katie (Gene) Gillispie, Taylor Ridge, Tom Harper, Moline, Mary (Dion) Carr, Geneseo; grandchildren, Tom Gerard, Lorena (Doug) McMillan; great grandson, Jonathon McMillan; sisters, Doris Johansen, Milan, Judy Williamson, Tulsa, OK., and Joy Bleuer, Milan.
