Barbara Ann Elmer, 80, of Moline, passed away Monday July 1, 2024 at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehab, East Moline.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Friday July 5, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery.

Barbara was born on March 28, 1944 in Moline, the daughter of Ivan and Ayre (Freeze) DeClerck. She married James Elmer on August 24, 1985 in Davenport.

Barbara had been employed with local telemarketing companies until her retirement.

Barbara was a devoted wife and mother, she loved showing dachshund that she raised, being a Foster Parent for 20 years through Catholic Charities and bowling.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; children, Scott Manthe (Eva White), Kim (David) Smith; step sons, Michael Elmer, Timothy Elmer; grandchildren, Nicole (Kyle) Mecham, Eric White, Neil (Kirsten) White, Cody Elmer; great grandchildren, Caspian Mecham, Charlotte Mecham, Noah White, Ayla White; siblings, Phyllis McDermott, Karla Mason, Annie Byrd, Ronald DeClerck; her beloved dog, Taffy; many nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, David Manthe Jr.; brother, Richard VanSpybrook and sister, Sandra Wailand.
