Barbara Ann McCowan, 70, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Barbara was born September 17, 1952, in Moline, IL, to Herman McHenry and Gloria D Howard. She married Milo McCowan on October 17, 1981, in Las Vegas. Barbara was a very loving person and always took care of everyone she could.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Milo; children, Mario and Paris Yancey; step-children, Miya and Milo Reed; her brother Emmit (Singleton McAllister-McHenry) McHenry, Great Falls, VA; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Lee Estridge; and brothers, Billy, Dwight, and Howard.

The family would like to thank UnityPoint Hospice for their outstanding care, and the time they spent treating Barbara with tenderness and compassion.
