Her perception of people and events, close by and far away, was evident in her acceptance of everyone around her. Barbara's friends enjoyed her quick-witted humor and her classy style. Most important to Barbara was her devotion to her family, especially to her late husband Bill. She enjoyed many wonderful trips with her family over the past years.

Wherever Barbara lived she enjoyed her friends and a number of activities – mahjong, bocce, reading, water aerobics and travel. Barbara was very active in Rock Island in the Junior League, VNA and worked tirelessly to support Bill and the Chiropractic industry.
