Barbara J. Spaulding, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at UnityPoint Health, Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island. Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Barbara was born February 26, 1934 in Rock Island, a daughter of James and Gladys Wolverton Harden. She married Robert W. Spaulding on August 19, 1958 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1988.

Barbara worked in the cafeteria at Lincoln School in Rock Island and in the marking dept. of Petersen Harned and Von Maur for many years. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Rock Island. She loved to read.

Surviving are her children (and spouses), David (Tammy) Spaulding, Rock Island, James (Dena) Spaulding, Moline, and Lisa Spaulding, Rock Island; grandchildren, Tara, Shawna, Aaron, Amanda, Megan, Shannon, Zachary and Matthew; great grandchildren, Autumn, Tabitha, Kaitlyn, Casey, Abigail, Elliana, Kyle, Jayce, Jada, Karlie, Seferino and Jesse; and special cousins, Jim and Debbie Drish, Milan.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great granddaugher, Alexandria and her brother, Robert Harden.
