Barbara R. Sullivan, 74, of Rock Island, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, August 28, 2026, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, at St Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island, IL. A memorial visitation will be held an hour prior starting at 10:00 am at the church. Inurnment will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to QC Animal Welfare or to St Pius X Catholic Church.

Barbara was born May 19, 1952, in Rock Island, the daughter of Herbert and Margaret "Peg" (Raes) Sullivan.

Barbara was known for her love of reading, with books filling her home and bringing her great joy. She cherished the time spent traveling to Door County, where she made many fond memories. She was a devoted member of her community, always willing to lend a helping hand. She volunteered for various church activities, where her kindness and warmth touched the lives of many.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, David and Malia Sullivan, Rock Island; nephew, Kelly Sullivan, Geneseo; niece, Carly Sullivan, Chicago; great nephews, Jack and Marc. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul.
