Barra Dunsworth, 77, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.

Barra was born August 17, 1946, in Hamilton, Alabama. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1964. Barra married Robert W. Dunsworth on June 30, 1990, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2016. Barra was an activity director at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation and Manor Care before retiring. She was an extraordinary crafter, including needlework, quilting, and painting.

Those left to cherish Barra's memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Leslie Dickson; grandchildren, Robert and Mary Dickson; and cat, Daisy.

Barra was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
