Benjamin E. Frederick, 71, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. Services for Mr. Frederick will be 1 pm Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted. Memorials may be made to the family.Benjamin was born on July 11, 1942 in Tampa, Florida, a son of Virgil Frederick and Stella Hall Frederick. He worked as a pipefitter at the American Ship Yard in Tampa. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He married his wife , Eileen in Tampa, Florida.

Benjamin Frederick was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Frederick, father and mother, Virgil & Stella Frederick; and his brother, Jimmy Frederick. He is survived by his sister, Anita Hay; brothers, Virgil Frederick, Larry Frederick, and Johnnie Frederick; and by several nieces and nephews. Benny loved to watch and talk about wrestling and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
