Bernice A. Gray, 87, of Milan, died Monday, June 26, 2017 at her home.  Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2704 38th St., Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Burial will be private. Memorials may be made in care of the QC Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Bernice was born April 12, 1930 in Waterloo, Iowa, a daughter of Charles E. and Alice M. Bunce Gray.  She graduated from Jesup High School in Iowa.

Bernice's faith was very special to her.  She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island, for over 60 years.  In the earlier years, she was extremely active at church.  She spent time as a Sunday school teacher as well as participated in many other activities the church had to offer.  Bernice thoroughly enjoyed crafts, baking desserts and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Marie (Fred) Fuller, Reynolds, Ill. and Donna Rohrssen, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Gray.
