Bernice O. Halley, 95 of Silvis, formally of Milan died 8 July, 2022 at Granddaughters home in Georgia.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.

Bernice was born March 10, 1927 in Moline IL. To Earl and Racheal Myles Russell. She attended Rock Island School, and married Shannon Ray Halley on February 1, 1946 in Rock Island, IL.

She had several jobs during her lifetime including working many years at The Bringer Inn in Milan, IL. When she and Ray retired they moved to Arizona until his death in 1999. Bernice moved back to the Quad cities area to be closer to family. Her favorite hobbies included painting, drawing and traveling.

Surviving is her Granddaughter Katrina Dixon, Grandson in law David Dixon of Georgia, Great Grandson Joseph Tapp, of California, and Grandson, Timothy Buster.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Pauline Dettman, sister Marilyn Schabb, Brother in laws Howard Dettman and Otto Schaab, daughter Pam Buster, Son Donald Turner, daughter in law Mickie Turner of Milan, and Sanchee (her beloved dog)
