Bernice S. Strosche, 87, of Milan, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.  Private services will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in care of UnityPoint Hospice.

Bernice was born on September 26, 1929 in Wind River, Oklahoma, a daughter of William and Ula (Hamby) Vines.  She married Willibald J. Strosche on August 21, 1972 in Phillips, S.D.  He passed away on March 12, 1997.  Bernice worked as a CNA at Oak Glen Nursing Home for over 20 years, retiring in 1985.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donna (Carlos) Danner, Port Byron; grandchildren, David McGuire, Milan, Ashley Danner, Port Byron and John Kirby, Alaska; her sister, Bobbie Truax, Sundance, WY; several nieces and nephews;  and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willibald; son, Carl David Kirby and a sister, Gay Carter
