Betty I. Callow, 93, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday July 17, 2021 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.

Private family service will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Betty was born on January 6, 1928 in Viola, the daughter of Andrew and Ina (Hyett) Bonick. She married Joseph Callow on October 29, 1949 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death.

She had been employed at Petersons Nursery for several years as an elevation specialist.

Mrs. Callow loved spending time with her family and was a avid dog lover. She also enjoyed watching golf, making jewelry, gardening and her flowers.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Patricia Callow, Moline; granddaughter, Misty (Bruce) Moser, Roanoke, IL; grandson, Alex (Linda) Callow, Chicago; great grandchildren, Jake (Alyssa) Alt, Eleanor Callow and Sophie Callow; great great grandchildren, Scarlett Alt and Piper Alt; nephews, Doug Bonick, Tony Bonick and niece, Angela Herberg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; parents, Andrew and Ina; sons, Michael J. Callow and Patrick A. Callow; brother, William R. Bonick and nephew, William Bonick Jr.
