Betty Hamilton Eastwood, 86, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday February 28, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to the family.

Betty was born June 20, 1931 in Medell, Mo., she was raised in Wyhconda, Mo., the daughter of Archie and Inez Hamilton. She moved to Rock Island in 1950 and later married Cletus H. Eastwood on August 3, 1957. They later divorced in 1980.

Betty had been employed at the former Fort Armstrong Hotel and later and the LeClaire Hotel as an elevator operator. She most recently was employed with Carter Restaurant from 1978-1982.

Betty loved spending time with her family and friends, photography, playing cards and reading. She was always kind and friendly to everyone and enjoyed helping friends and neighbors, talking to people on the bus and on the phone. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her children, Cletus Eastwood, Kathryn Eastwood; grandchildren, Tarra, Randall, Jesse, Rebecca Lynn, Megan, and Andrew; great granddaughter, Mattilyn; nephews, Neil and Richard Hamilton; special friend, James Handcock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus; parents, Archie and Inez; brother, Aurther Hamilton; sisters, Ruth Hill and Dorothy England.
