Betty J. Eidet, 98, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Friendship Manor Silver Cross in Rock Island.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visitation at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made in the care of the family.

Betty was born on June 29, 1926, the daughter of Carl A. and Bertha (Bellinger) Anderson. She retired from Rock Island Electric Motor Repair in 1988. She married Harold Eidet on August 23, 1941, in Marion, MO. Betty was an avid Cubs fan. She cherished spending time with her family and loved her dog, Lucy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel (Priscilla) Eidet; grandsons, Dean (Rae) Eidet and Daniel Q. (Terry) Eidet; 7 great-grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, and significant other of 42 years, Stanley Schmidt.
