Betty Lou Quist, 93, of Taylor Ridge, passed away Wednesday, January 26th at home.

There will be a private graveside service for family Monday, January 31st, followed by a celebration of life and luncheon at Luli's, 1213 10th Ave W. Milan from 3pm to 8pm. A dedication will be held at 5:30pm. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

She was the oldest daughter of Damon and Thelma Holman and had 8 siblings. When she was old enough, she helped to take care of her siblings. That's probably why she was a strong minded woman. Life wasn't easy and there were many hardships.

She married a wonderful man, Richard Quist, on December 24, 1946 for 60 years before he passed on in 2006. They farmed for a majority of their married life.

Betty loved the Lord above all. She passed that loving heart around to all of her family and friends. Her family was the center of her world, and her love ran deep.

She was a helpful and thoughtful friend to all that were lucky enough to know her. Her smile could light up a room and some would say it's contagious. She never knew a stranger and shared love for all.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Sherry. Sister Jan (Jim). Grandchildren Rick (Bethanee), Scott (Penny), Andy (Kelly). Great grandchildren Heather(Travis), Jackie(Lori), Lacey(Bryan), Courtney(Jonathan), Lauren(Nick), Cole(Amanda), Gage, Andee, Ryan, Emery, Charlee. Great Great Grandchildren Hunter, Oaklee, Lennon, Laine.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Richard. Brothers Jack, Dick, Bill, Frank, Charles. Sisters Vera, Sandy.
