Betty N. Hunter, 90, of Milan, died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Lighthouse in Silvis. Per Betty's request, she will be cremated and there will be no formal services. A private inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made in care of Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan.

Betty was born in DeWitt, Neb. on April 10, 1925, a daughter of William Walter and Blanche Ankney Neumann. She married Keith "Bud" Hunter on September 14, 1948 in Rock Island. He died Feb. 27, 2010.

Betty graduated from the former Moline Public School of Nursing. Upon graduating, she worked for Moline Public Hospital and the former Oak Glen Home. Betty and Bud later co-owned and operated the former Dutch Inn, Rock Island, and then moved on to purchase the Crossroads, Milan.

Betty and Bud retired to Hot Springs Village, Ark., in 1986, and returned to the Quad Cities in 2006.

Betty was a member at Trinity United Methodist Church in Milan.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, William (Sheryl) Neumann, Milan; numerous nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Lee and Guy Neumann and sister, Ruth Donder.
