Betty Jo Shank, 81, of Milan, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at her home.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date. Inurnment will in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family.

Betty was born on January 23, 1940 in Marion County, Arkansas, a daughter of Elam and Octava (Rose) Owen. She married Albert Shank on November 30, 1957 in Milan. Mrs. Shank worked as a bookkeeper at Walsh True Value in Johnston, Iowa for many years. She enjoyed taking leisurely drives with her husband, casino visits and annual family vacations in Chetek, WI.

Survivors include her husband, Albert; children, Sandra McKeag, Milan, Lisa (Jerry) Egan, Milan and George (Sheryl) Shank, Long Grove, Iowa; seven  grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Jackie (Ron) Morrison, Illinois City, Arlene (Jack) Kahling, St. Germain, WI., Lennie Daymude, Milan and James Owen, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Owen and Carla Owen; her son in law, Sonny McKeag; and several cousins.
