Betty A. Collins, 70, of Milan, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at her residence.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Betty was born on February 2, 1946 in Rock Island, the daughter of Noda and Mabel (Kunkel) Nielsen.  She was employed as a medical assistant for multiple doctor's offices.  Betty enjoyed making crafts and going to church.  She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, Jamie Nielsen and fiance Rhonda McKune, Milan, Carrie (Steve) Johnson, Moline, and John (Karen) Collins, East Moline; grandchildren, Jessica Nielsen, Autumn, David, and Zacori Johnson, Amanda Schaubroeck, and Kimberly and James Collins; great grandson, Joshua Collins; siblings, Wanda Sellers, Milan, Axel (Dianne) Nielsen, Matherville, and Jane (Steven) Heberer, Pekin, IL; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and her chihuahua, Chi-Chi.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
