Betty P. Weathersby, 71, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Unity Point Health - Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.

Betty was born December 30, 1942, in Salis, Mississippi, the daughter of West and Betty Baker. She enjoyed listening to music, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

Betty will be remembered by her children Mary Weathersby, Vincent (Carolyn) Weathersby, Lovette (Frank) Weathersby, Jerry (Stephanie) Weathersby, and Dewayne (Kesha) Weathersby; her eight grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren; her sister Cora Lee Davis; her long time companion Eddie Hartley; her very special niece Gloria J. Davis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Weathersby; her parents; her daughter Dorothy Weathersby; and her son Earl Baker.
