Betty Jeane Weir, 87, of Moline, formerly of Milan, passed away, Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, at Mercer Manor in Aledo.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Milan.

Betty was born June 16, 1937, in Moline, the daughter of Harold A and Marjorie E (Brown) Johnson. She married Earl Weir on September 30, 2007, in Milan. She was a nurse for over 30 years and retired from Robert Young as a psychiatric nurse. Betty was a deacon and lifelong member at First Presbyterian Church in Milan. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, stamping, and embroidery.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kathryn (Pete) Carter, Nancy Collins; grandchildren, Karissa Utz, Charlie Matkovic, Kevin Collins, Kara Moon; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl; grandson, Cole Matkovic; and brother, Richard Johnson.
