Betty Ann Miller, 92, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at ProMedica, Moline.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, Davenport and First Church of the Nazarene, Rock Island.

Betty was born on February 28, 1930 in Rock Island, the daughter of Truman and Edna "Sally" Mae (Twitty) Westmoland.  She married Joseph C. Miller on November 20, 1949 in Rock Island.  Betty was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Rock Island, and also attended, New Life Baptist Church, Davenport.  She was a dedicated volunteer at RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), Frances Willard School, Rock Island, Earl Hanson Elementary, Rock Island, Rock Island County Health Department, and UPH-Trinity Hospital.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Joanie Richards and Martha (Hollis) Miller-Monroe; granddaughter, Ruth Ann Whaley; great grandchildren, Sarah Grace and Elizabeth Faith Whaley; and special friend/neighbor, CJ Scott.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant sister; and son-in-law, Phil Richards.
