Betty Aileen Laffoon, 90, of Aledo, Illinois, formerly Milan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Brookstone of Aledo.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan, Illinois. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in the Andalusia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice in Betty's memory.

Betty was born on May 14, 1935, in Kahoka, Missouri, to Mortie and Gertrude A. (Butler) Wilsey. She attended Moline High School and went on to marry Leonard R. Laffoon on August 26, 1952, in Arkansas. Betty dedicated 25 years of her life as a housekeeper before retiring to enjoy her family and hobbies. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Milan, where she was part of the Women's Group. Betty loved crocheting and had a fondness for playing bingo, a pastime she enjoyed with friends and family.

Betty will be remembered for her kind spirit, warm heart, and her unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Those left to cherish Betty's memory include her husband of 73 years, Leonard; children, JoLane (Danny) Frye, Roger (Brenda) Laffoon, Gail Kelso, and Clay (Kelly) Laffoon; grandchildren, Jason Frye, Tiffany Laffoon, Travis Laffoon, Ryan Laffoon, Megan Morel, Nicholas Laffoon, and Brandon Laffoon; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Gloria Wilsey.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mortie J. Wilsey Jr. and Bill Wilsey; and sister, Mary Anna Wilsey.
