Bettye M. Ferguson, 91, of Sebring, Florida, formerly of Rock Island, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Sebring. Services for Bettye will be 11 am, Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a Christian prayer service will be conducted at 3 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bettye was born on May 11, 1924 in Jacksonville, Illinois, a daughter of Harry McNamara and Gladys Scott McNamara. She married Howard Ferguson on January 22, 1944 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1994.

Bettye worked as a floral designer at Knees Florist for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park, Florida.

Survivors include her children, Christine Hudson, Rock Island, Kenneth Ferguson, Rock Island, Nancy Mosley, Sebring, Florida, and Donna Mahoney, Bettendorf, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
