Beulah M. Buckwalter, 94, of Milan, IL, passed away Saturday August 1, 2015 at her home.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Rock Island. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Memorials may be made to the family.

Beulah was born December 6, 1920 in Hannibal, MO, a daughter of Ira J. and Ethel Pearl Hayden Rouse. She married Cleland I. Buckwalter on June 18, 1940 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Beulah worked at Servus Rubber, Rock Island, for 25years. She then worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, from which she retired in 1989.

She was a 60 year member of the First Baptist Church, Rock Island, and former member of the Women of the Moose, Rock Island. She enjoyed swimming, bowling, fishing, ballroom dancing, and big band music. One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren's sporting activities.

Suriviving are her children (and spouses), Ronald (Linda) Buckwalter, Sr., Sherrard, Diane (Tommy) Brown, Rock Island, and Rodger (Deborah) Buckwalter, Sr., Milan; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Walters, Tampa, FL, and Viola (Bill) Coder, Muscatine, IA; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and special friend, Max Lund, Viola.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathy Lynn Hedstrom; son, Dennis Dean Buckwalter; brothers, Harold and Richard Rouse; and sisters, Ilene Hammond ,Ethel Frye, June Caswell and Dorothy Bush.
