Beverly J. Largent, 80, of Davenport, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Thursday August 14, 2014 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

Services will be 10:00am Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church or American Cancer Society.

Beverly was born on September 6, 1933 in Buffalo, IA, the daughter of Virgil and Lillian (Carstens) Creech. She married James Largent on August 20, 1954 in Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1999.

She had been employed as a clerk typist for 25 years with Hermans Inc., Rock Island.

Beverly was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island.

She loved gardening, growing flowers, cooking and baking. She was well known for her delicious homemade pies and also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the fun holiday gatherings.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Terri and Kevin DeRoin, Blue Grass, IA, Lisa and Patrick Vaughn, Davenport; grandchildren, Jason Morales and Stephanie Tomlinson; great grandchildren, Madison, Taylor, Dylan, Cru, Silas and Lucy; siblings, Shirley Duggleby, Virginia Massey and Cheryl Morris; sister-in -law, Linda Koehler.
