Jeffery Lynn Weindruch, 70, of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in the University of Iowa Hospital with family and dear friends by his side. He was buried in Eretz Hachaim Cemetery in Beit Shemesh, Israel.
A memorial service will be held on August 23rd, 5:30pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL, where military honors will also be presented. Jeffery was born in Davenport, Iowa on July 3, 1953, a son of Archie and Helen M. (Hull) Weindruch.
Jeffery was the loving husband to Helen "Hinda" Newman of 38 years, and father of Julie "Yehudit" (Alan) Wittert, Ohio; Danielle (Mordechay) Tsikvashvili, Maryland; Julius Weindruch, Maryland; Archie "Ari" (Chanie) Weindruch, Pennsylvania; Gavriela (Raphael) Raboy, Israel; Michaela Weindruch, Israel, and the proud grandfather of eleven.
Jeff is survived by his wife & children, brother Steve (Debbie) Weindruch of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, brothers and sisters-in-law, his grandchildren, cousins, and beloved nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Helen M. (Hull) Weindruch, sister, Judy Gibbs, and brother, Kent Weindruch, all of blessed memory.
Jeff was a life-long resident of Bettendorf & a proud Iowa Hawkeye fan. He was an athlete at Bettendorf High School, flag football coach for the Bettendorf Parks & Rec., U.S. Marine from 1973-1975 & served in the Reserves until 1979. He operated Archie's Carry-out & Archie's Levee Inn from 1985-1990. Jeff was a well-known Real Estate Broker for 50 years with Weindruch Meade, Inc. He was an activist in both the Jewish community and community at large.
