Billie R. Thrap, 87, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Rock Island, died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 23, 2019 surrounded by her family.  A visitation will be from 9-11 am Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Entombment to follow visitation at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, Fla. 33760 or left online at suncoasthospice.org/online-donations/.

Billie was born in Rock Island on April 17, 1931, a daughter of Nicholas and Dorothy Schader Karzin.  She married Jack Thrap on November 11, 1950 in Alexandria, Virginia.  He preceded her in death in 2003.

Billie helped her brother run the Coney Island Restaurant in Rock Island for many years before retiring and moving to Florida.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children (and spouses), Jack (Diane) Thrap Jr., Rock Island, Trinette (Greg) Bell, Rock Island, Chris (Connie) Thrap, St. Petersburg, Fla., Carrie (Dan) Blair, Rock Island, Valerie (David) Ross, Littleton, Co., Terrance (Lori) Thrap, Viola, Ill. and Deric (Avis) Thrap, Milan; many grand, great-grand, great-great-grand and nieces and nephews; and siblings, Dodie Hartman, Rock Island, Richard (Helga) Karzin, Spirit Lake, Iowa and Sharon (Ronnie) Wissbaum, Milford, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-granddaughter, four brothers and a sister.
