Billy Capps, 65, of Milan, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2019.

In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned at this time. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, assisted the family with arrangements.

Billy was born September 27, 1953, a son of William "Bill" and Inez Wright Capps.

In his younger days, he liked to skateboarding, archery and chess. He met the love of his life, Brenda Brooks while at Y & S Candies. They were united in marriage in August of 1972.

Bill was so proud of his two sons, Jason and Benjamin (Bengy). The highlight for Bill was meeting the "85" Bears team and, with his son, meeting Walter Payton and his favorite, Gayle Sayers.

While still in high school, his hard work gained the respect of his employer, Nate, owner of Henry's. He also worked at Burger King, Kings Food Host, Quad City Dye. Later in life at Alcoa and he retired from Milan John Deere PDC, Milan.

Bill is survived by his widow, Brenda; mother, Inez; brother Andy; niece, Cathleen; nephew, Charley; brother-in-law, Jim Brooks, and his wife Judy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willam, and his sons, Jason and Bengy.
