Billy "Pete" Lee Peterson, 90, of Andalusia passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Andalusia Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Billy was born on January 9, 1932 in Knoxville, IL, a son of Forrest and Anna (Montgomery) Peterson. He married Mary Jane Riggs on April 26, 1957. Billy worked as a truck driver for Eagle Foods for many years.

Billy enjoyed camping and eating out, but his greatest passion was spending time with family, especially his grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include his five sons, Kim (Linda) Peterson, Roger (Debra) Peterson, and Mike Peterson, all of Andalusia, Chris Peterson, Aledo, and Pat (Crystal) Peterson, Reynolds; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane; parents; daughter in law, Deana Peterson; and eight brothers and sisters.
