Bobbie Nell (Owens) Bonner , 75, of Davenport, Iowa, departed this life on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones.
A memorial gathering and celebration of her life will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
Bobbie Nell was born December 16, 1944 in Carthage, Texas, a daughter of the late J.M. Wallace and Florene (Owens) Wallace.
She was employed by Walker Royal for over ten years, before starting her career at (Laurelwood) Generations. She retired in 2018 after 31 years.
Bobbie Nell was a great Mother and Grandmother to a lot of people in her lifetime. She loved listening to the blues, fishing, playing cards, going to the casino, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her only child and spouse, Katina C. (Bonner) (Ryan) Cale, Davenport; granddaughters, Aum'unique Green and E'mayezanae Johnston, both of Davenport; sister, Dorothy (Owens) Whitfield, Davenport; brother, Howard Owens, Deberry, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, James Hunter, Charles (Todd) Owens, Walter L. (Jr.) Wallace, Walter J. Wallace, Jimmy Lee Wallace, Ozell (Ben) Owens, Buddy Wallace; very special nephew, Roylee Richardson, Sr.; and life-long partner, Samuel Gardener.
