Boyd H. VanLandegen, 78, of Moline, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.  Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 -11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made in care of Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Boyd was born in Moline on Nov. 1, 1937, a son of Clement and Florence Eagle Eye VanLandegen.  He married Linda Bacorn on June 23, 1960 in Aledo.

Boyd worked as a mechanic for John Deere Harvester Experimental for 30 years.

He enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes and strawberries, hunting, fishing and stock cars.  He was a member of the IAM Union Local 1191 and last surviving member of the Klockers Car Club in Moline.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda VanLandegen, Moline; and sons, Charles A. (Kyla) VanLandegen, Davenport and Damon L. (Michelle Mendoza) VanLandegen, Milan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Christian Anthony, sister, Anna Mae VanLandegen and brother, Edmond VanLandegen.
