Brandon James Goodmiller, 49, of Lakewood, CO, formerly of Rock Island,IL passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at his residence.
Brandon was born on October 23, 1975 in Rock Island, IL, son of James Michael Goodmiller and Susan Lage (Connor). He attended Rock Island High School until his senior year graduating from Dunlap High School. Following in his father's footsteps, he joined the United States Air Force and served from 1998 to 2002 when he was honorably discharged. During his time in the service, he received a National Defense Service Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, and Longevity Service Awards.
After his time in the service, Brandon was a self-proclaimed creative entrepreneur. He explored many different types of work before finding his way into the entertainment industry working both in security and managerial positions. It was here he combined his love for music and meeting new people. He was employed by Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre at the time of his death.
Brandon's greatest joy in life was his three daughters and spending time with family and friends. He loved hiking in the mountains of Colorado, snowboarding, traveling, going to concerts, and helping those who needed a little help to get back on their feet, strangers and friends alike. He believed in living life to the fullest with no regrets.
Those left to cherish Brandon's memory include his mother, Susan Lage; daughters, Alexandria Goodmiller, San Antonio, TX, Megan Goodmiller and Lauren Goodmiller, both of Vacaville, CA; granddaughter, Leah Goodmiller; siblings, Dawn Goodmiller-Kocher, Peoria, IL, Dana Goodmiller, Bettendorf, IA, Greg Powers, Davenport, IA and Todd Powers, Atlanta, GA; and many nieces and nephews to whom he was "funcle".
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, James Michael Goodmiller.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the funeral home. Inurnment with military honors will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Preserve the Rocks (https://www.redrocksonline.com/our-story/donate/) or the Wounded Warrior Project (https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/) in his honor.
Online condolences may be left for the family on Brandon's tribute wall.
