Brent Nimrick, 68, of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family. There will be a visitation from 4-6:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Born April 28, 1957, in Rock Island, Illinois, to George and Patricia (Curry) Nimrick, Brent grew up with strong values and a dedication to his community. On July 5, 1980, he married the love of his life, Jody, and together they recently celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage.

Brent worked at Alcoa for 38 years, where he became known as an expert in specialty coil. Outside of work, he found joy in landscaping, home improvement projects, cooking, riding his motorcycle, and most of all, spending time with his two grandsons. His loyal dog, Bo, was his constant companion and will miss him dearly.

Brent is survived by his wife, Jody Nimrick; his children, Branden (Miranda) Nimrick of Viola, and Danielle Nimrick (Brandon Dicus) of St. Louis, Missouri; and his cherished grandsons, Collin and Cade Nimrick. Siblings Brian Nimrick, Taylor Ridge, Jeff Nimrick, Monmouth, Jerry Nimrick, Taylor Ridge, and Georgia 'Missi' Mapes, Taylor Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Patricia Nimrick.

Brent's enthusiasm for life, his generosity, and the love he poured into his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
