Brett C. Klauer, 33, of Washington, IL, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Saturday May 30, 2015 in Washington, IL.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. A Mass celebrating his life will be held on Friday at 10:30am in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Memorials may be left for his children's education fund c/o Gas and Electric Credit Union, Rock Island.
Brett was born on March 1, 1982 in Normal, IL, the son of Terry and Ann (Kasenberg) Klauer. He married Megan Burton on June 19, 2010 in Prophetstown.
He was employed as a financial analyst with Share Builders Inc., Washington, IL.
Brett was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and former member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.
His hobbies included fishing, baseball, tennis, fantasy football and baseball leagues (that he usually always won), and loving being a daddy to his two little boys.
Survivors include his wife, Megan; children, Brooks and Glavin, all of Washington; parents, Terry and Ann Klauer, Rock Island; sister, Ketty Klauer, Rock Island; grandfather, Vincent Klauer Jr; in laws, Jim and Cheryl Burton and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Emery and Frances Kasenberg, paternal grandmother, Beverly Klauer and sister, Trish Ellen Klauer.
