Brian Keith Peebles, 58, of Fresno, California, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away on January 25th, 2024, in Fresno, California.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Those wishing to attend the service can meet at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave Rock Island, at 1:00 pm on that Friday. Memorials may be made in care of VFW Post 3900.

Brian was born on June 27th, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, son of William and Norma Peebles. Brian was a 1983 graduate of Rock Island Senior High. He went on to have a fulfilling career in the United States Military as a Special Operations and Tactics Team Leader. Brian ultimately retired as a Sergeant. During his time serving in the United States Military, Brian served in Desert Storm as well as being a lifelong mentor to new recruits. Brian was a proud graduate of Southern Illinois University. He spent many years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist.

Brian enjoyed body building, riding motorcycles, traveling, rescuing dogs, and spending time with his family and friends. Brian was an active member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and his local VFW.

Left to cherish his memory include his sons; Gannon and Sullivan Peebles; mother, Norma Peebles; and sisters, Tellissa Peebles, Vanessa Peebles, and Kathy (Anthony) Clemons.

He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and very special lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
